Mad Bomber Beer Release Party
Posted On: Jun 161, 2019

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Our Mad Bomber Beer Release Party this last Saturday, June 8th, was a stupendous success! We had an excellent turnout from the public and first responders alike. A big "thank you" to the following individuals is in order: Brother Tyler Turrell was instrumental as a point-of-contact and overall crucial implement of the planning process. Brothers Caleb Tyler, Matt Usher & Scott Hochberger are to thank for the beautiful custom tap handles that will be adorning the taps at various retailers throughout the region, as well as having some to auction off at the event. Brother Josh Gernns and his wife Bridget of Smoque Artisan BBQ served delicious food that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thanks also to Brothers Bob Jaeger, Luke Michael & Eric Sorenson for helping to brew our IPA that was served. I would also like to thank Tom & Andrew from Mad Bomber for spearheading this concept. Finally, we need to thank Danny Caballero, father to Local 710 member Neko Caballero, for donating a .22 LR semi-automatic rifle, that was available for auction also benefiting our Benevolence Fund.

The final tally for the money raised that evening is still underway but I will say that the preliminary numbers are successfully staggering! The auction for our tap handles generated over $4000! I don't believe that anybody was expecting that but it was more than a welcome surprise! The money from the tap handles will be donated to a charity of the late Northern Lakes Fire Chief Jeff Welch's choosing; more details on that as it is finalized. We are still counting up the money raised between food & beer sales but I will say that I am confident in saying that from this event alone, we have raised another $3000. The local retailers selling Fully Involved IPA will also be donating 10% of their sales to our Benevolence Fund. Other professional emergency organizations around the area are now going to be following our lead and participating in their own beers being brewed, so there will be other opportunities for us to get out and support the community organizations that have supported us thus far.

Once we have a list of participating retailers, we will distribute that out so we can continue the support of this project. Thank you to everyone from our Local that came and celebrated with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Stay safe and have a great week!
